so this ended up the best v-day of my life. well, i hate the concept of v-day either way. even when i was dating someone i never celebrated it.

but now that i live in san francisco… seriously. this city kicks major ass.

major pillow fight. second annual pillow fight right downtown in the city. more than a thousand people appeared out of nowhere carrying pillows and ready to fight. at 6pm sharp everyone on the plaza grabs their feathered pillow, screams and starts fighting with everyone else. you completely lose all your friends instantly, but for over half hour you are nonstop laughing, screaming, giggling and forgetting all your stress in life. feathers flying all over the place and your arms are exhausted. but you still can’t stop laughing.

and then you realize how freaking lucky you are to be there, with total strangers, having the time of your life. i live for these things.

i just came to a blog that has published some recently declassified photos from the hiroshima bombing.

this has been kept a secret until recently, as they are the most immediate visual account of what happened on the ground during and right after the bombing of hiroshima.

the new york times has said these are amongst the most powerful images every published.

Last year about 1000 people showed up at Embarcadero, hiding pillows and at the same time started a massive pillow fight right on the street.
